Montreal Cosplay Photoshoots is pleased to announce its partnership with ConZen Montreal. ConZen Montreal would like to support MCP's upcoming photoshoot! Prizes will be awarded for mini-contests and for participation.

Prizes

We will hand out attendance prizes to participants through a random participation, selection and distribution system. The winner selection procedure and prizes to be awarded will be announced shortly.

Secondly, we will hand out a convention badge price discount certificate to the best-dressed cosplayer. The winner selection procedure and amount of discount applied to the badge price will be announced shortly.


Photoshoot Schedule
(Preliminary)

Sun, Nov 29
11:30 am - Public transit group meets up at Jean-Drapeau metro (Yellow line)
12:00 pm - Public transit group joins the car driven group
12:30 pm - Briefing of all participants by the organizers
1:00 or 1:30 pm - Photoshoot begins
5:00 pm - Photoshoot ends, decide where to eat
5:15 pm - Departure to chosen restaurant
6:00 pm - Dinner at the restaurant
7:30 pm - Dinner ends, end of day

This is not a fixed schedule, as it will depend on how many of you will show up and how fast everything goes. (We reserve the right to modify the schedule without early notice.) Mini-FAQ

What should I wear for this shoot?
Anything. Any costume is OK, but we recommend a costume that fits the photoshoot location and/or current weather. Our photoshoots have always been Open Themed, so your costume can come from any anime/mange/game/etc you like.

What is ConZen?
ConZen is an upcoming Montreal Anime Convention, which will be held next year, in 2010. Its name is a play on the word "Kanzen" (完全), which means perfect, complete, flawless or completion.

What happened to the after-dinner shoot?
We decided that we won't do after-dinner shoots in the cold months. Doing a photoshoot in winter is already difficult and stressful due to the cold, snow, ice, etc. I rather send you home earlier and get warm than continuing on in freezing temperatures. Of course, you would get cold during the shoot, but I'll be nice enough to let you only "freeze" just during the day when the temperatures are at the warmest. If, by popular demand, people want an evening shoot, we'll be glad to do one. Please voice your support for any after-dinner shoots in the thread if you want one.

How much do I expect to spend at this photoshoot?
Public transit users will need to pay home-to-site, site-to-resto and resto-to-home fares. Car drivers will need to pay for gas and parking. All people will need to pay for dinner at the restaurant (if they want to join us for dinner). These are the base required spendings for the day; any extras are at the person's expenses.

Where's Angelbless?
Steve/Angelbless (the FF7AC/CC Cloud/Zack and RO Assassin Cross cosplayer), one of the founders of Montreal Cosplay Photoshoots, will not be able to attend our shoots for a long time, though he supports them from a distance. He's currently pursuing a Master's Degree at university, and needs all the time necessary to acheive his goal. He should, however, return to the shoots once he has enough free time. He'll let us know by confirming his attendance at a future shoot!
